Join our community
At Hack Oldham we host a variety of community groups from a wide range of interests, hobbies and sizes. Whether it's technology-based, arts, crafts, entertainment or just socializing, our purpose-built event space can fulfil your needs. Joining the groups is free when you become a member of Hack Oldham. Non-members only need to pay a small contribution (currently £3) each time they attend.
Although most current groups meet in the evenings we do host groups in the daytime providing also they do not conflict with other events.
Monday Nights
6:30pm - 9pm
Members' Nights & Board Games

Come and join us for work, play or socializing. Game, craft, do whatever. This is a night for all members. Non-members can also come along and view the space. We also run a board games event every week. Use our games or bring your own.
Tuesday Nights
6:30pm - 10pm
Tabletop Role-playing Games

Woodworking workshop and Cutting Corner
Filmmaking Group
​
This is a group aimed at working together to produce short films. Whether you want to develop a general interest in filmmaking or you would like to specialize in cinematography, sound, makeup, producing or directing, this is for you! Get support from a professional feature filmmaker and work with others to create your own projects. Get in touch to sign up as we envisage places will be in hot demand!
Craft & Chat​
Join our crafting classes or bring your own projects. We have tons of crafting materials and equipment including cardcraft, embroidery, needlework, crochet, knitting, beadcraft, macrame and more! Check our updates section for the latest workshops or just come along.
Roleplaying Group overspill
We have a second Tabletop RPG group for people who just can't get enough. Open by special arrangement only.
Ever fancy having your own wood workshop? We have saws, drills, sanders, lathes and tons of hand tools and power tools in our specially ventilated space. Bring your own wood or use whatever is in the space. We also have a laser cutter & engraver and a glass kiln as well as a cameo silhouette vinyl cutter. We provide full instruction on all equipment. Get in touch for an introduction to the space.
Got an idea for group?
Previous groups have included a digital drop in, robotics, bridge club and more! We are always open to ideas or people who want to run a group in Hack Oldham.
