This week we're very excited to announce that's a wrap on shooting the last few scenes for...
SCREAM QUEEN!
It's the first feature film of its kind in Oldham! A community led, collaborative, low-budget, unique & independent horror comedy, filmed in the heart of Oldham featuring local residents. This is a real, feature-length film made right here at Hack Oldham!
Written and directed by the award-winning Manchester-born filmmaker & screenwriter Eric Ian Steele and filmed in association with Hack Oldham, the film features both professional cast and crew alongside local people from our Filmmaking and Acting groups.

We used 3D printers to make props, our woodwork and electronics shop to create the sets, and our amazing crafters to decorate them and create all our banners and artwork! All sets, props, and costumes were sourced locally or made on the premises by our amazing members! The main set was made possible thanks to a generous donation of timber and furnishings from Howarths Timber Oldham and A&P Furnishing.

This was a unique opportunity for our acting and filmmaking group, some of whom will now get their first recognized movie industry credits! Hollywood beckons...
Eric's previous films gone on to appear on Sky TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. And we have many more details to come, so keep your peeled. Thank you to everyone involved for making this happen!

You too can get involved by coming to our acting group or our filmmaking groups. Both groups are led by professionals with years of experience in movies. No experience necessary. Will we be seeing your name in lights soon?
