This Halloween...The Last Tram comes to Oldham. A Vampire: the Masquerade Tabletop Role-Playing Game Experience!
What would you do if you boarded the last tram home… and discovered you weren't the only thing travelling through the night?
Something is waiting in Oldham after dark. And this time, you're not just watching the story.
You're in it.
Coming to Hack Oldham on Saturday 24th October, Oldham By Night: The Last Tram is a Vampire: the Masquerade tabletop roleplaying experience designed to pull you directly into a world of secrets, danger, intrigue and the supernatural.
Join us in our specially-built vampire nightclub to experience a story of intrigue, tragedy and fun as we unveil our brand new adventure set in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade Tabletop RPG!
🧛 Become part of the story
Experience playing a character in a world where vampires are real and the night belongs to those who know how to survive it. You'll have opportunities to investigate, negotiate, deceive, take risks and make choices that could have consequences long after the tram reaches its final stop.
Oldham By Night: The Last Tram has been written exclusively for Hack Oldham by an award-winning feature filmmaker, Hollywood screenwriter, and writer of best-selling roleplaying game books for Vampire: the Masquerade and the World of Darkness.
Dress for the night
And because this is a vampire experience, we're encouraging players to embrace the atmosphere. Come in costume as a modern-day vampire. Think The Lost Boys, Fright Night, Interview With The Vampire and Near Dark. Or simply come as yourself… and see how long you remain human.
This game is for everyone aged 18 and over. Whether you are an experienced tabletop roleplaying gamer or a complete beginner, The Last Tram is an opportunity to experience roleplaying from a completely different perspective.
And that’s not all. Our visitors' area will feature vampire-themed drinks, snacks and merchandise. Away from the action, you can relax, watch spooky films, chat with other visitors and soak up the atmosphere.
We’ll be using classic Vampire: the Masquerade rules (2nd edition) but we can also run a 5th edition Vampire game if enough people want us to. You can state your preference as to which system you prefer on the booking form. This is a tabletop game where players use dice and a character sheet to act out the role of a fledgling vampire. All materials are provided. And you can choose from a selection of pre-generated characters.
We aim for a game that would be rated a "15" certificate if it were a film.
Never played a tabletop roleplaying game before? No problem. We'll explain everything you need to know, provide your character, dice and all the materials you'll need, and our Storytellers will guide you through the game.
If you would like to run a game as a Storyteller we’re also interested in hearing from you. So get in touch!
Doors open at 12:00pm. There will be a briefing for Storytellers and players at 12:30pm. The game will start at 1:00pm prompt, with two fifteen minute breaks, an hour break for dinner, and conclude with the costume contest award with the event closing at 9:30pm. Refreshments will be available on the premises including snacks and drinks. As a social enterprise, events like this help us create new opportunities for creativity, community and participation in Oldham!
